We all know that website speed is a fundamental criterion for success. The quicker a visitor can engage with your website, the more likely your visitors are to be satisfied.
A big handicap is at this point: Whenever WordPress sends an email, there is a waiting time of 0.5-1 second on the page called up. It doesn’t matter whether a visitor to your website sends a contact form or buys something in your shop (and an invoice is sent by email) – or whether you as an admin send an email from the backend. Whenever an email is sent, it gives the impression that the Internet connection or your web server has suddenly become slow.
The reason for this is simple: emails are sent via the WordPress wp_mail() function, and when this function is called in the course of a WordPress routine, this routine has to wait until the email is sent. As long as your WordPress uses the (spam-prone) email basic function, this is still relatively quick. However, if you have installed a plugin that sends your emails via SMTP, the WordPress routine that is currently running must wait until the receiving SMTP server has been contacted and the email has been sent to it.
Campation PostOffice™ solves this elegantly by sending emails in the background.
As soon as WordPress sends an email via Campation PostOffice™, this email stored in the outgoing mail queue within fractions of a millisecond. This already completes the sending of the email for WordPress – your website is significantly accelerated!
A Campation PostOffice™ background sending process runs unnoticed and outside of your website / backend. It continuosly sends all emails in the outgoing queue through the configured mail servers. And this – if activated – at high speed thanks to parallel processing with our propietary technology Campation AsyncMail™!
Campation PostOffice™ is one of the few WordPress email plugins that can send emails in the background. But that is only a necessary basic function – in addition to 50 other features!
